Protected Designation of Origin olive oil: Azeite de Moura, the oldest and most reputable denomination in Portugal. Extracted from Cordovil olives from Serpa, complemented with Galega, and with a touch of Verdeal Alentejana, produced on the Left Bank of the Guadiana, Azeite de Moura has personality, which comes from the balance between the strong sensations it offers to those who taste it. Notes of leafy green, reminiscent of the tomato plant, combined with a subtle hint of apple and notes of almond and dried fruit, framed by discreet sensations of bitterness and spiciness, give this olive oil a complex and harmonious profile, exclusive and distinctive. Azeite de Moura DOP is the jewel in the crown of the Cooperativa Agrícola de Moura e Barrancos and is, in its own right, one of the most valuable pieces of national olive oil heritage. Available capacities: 500ml, 750ml, 3L and 5L.

Saluquia
Virgin Olive Oil

The Cooperative also packs with the "Salúquia" brand, a traditional Moura brand with a legendary stamp, from the time when the Arabs occupied the Iberian Peninsula. Salúquia was the alcalde of Moura and was going to marry the alcalde of Arouche. However, the Christians, ambushed in the dense olive grove around the castle, came out onto the path, killed the Moors and put on their costumes. Salukia, who was watching them from the castle tower, thought it was the groom and his entourage, and ordered the bridge to be lowered. But when he realized what a deception he had fallen into, he grabbed the keys to the city and threw himself from the tower. This, in a nutshell, is the story of Salukia. Capacities available: 3L and 5L.
